At Beaches Rotaract, we believe that small actions lead to big changes. Local events bring together neighbors, businesses, and organizations. They create opportunities to forge meaningful connections and build a sense of belonging.
TYPES OF EVENTS
Community Service
Working with local organizations across the Jacksonville area, Beaches Rotaract holds 1-3 Community Service Events each month. They are free and open for anyone to attend. Each year, you can expect to volunteer at events like:
Beach clean ups
Habitat for Humanity
Gardening with Peace of Heart
Serving beer at the Riverside Beer Festival
Sorting meals with Rise Against Hunger
Social
To connect with other Beaches Rotaract members, social gatherings and opportunities are held about once a month. Most events are open to anyone, while some are for members only. Each year, you can expect to attend in social events like:
Icemen Hockey Games
Headshots and Happy Hour
Thanksgiving and Winter Holiday Parties
Mentorship Mixers
Rotaract End of Year Party
Fundraising
Every spring, Beaches Rotaract throws a dinner-theater fundraising event, A Night at the Alhambra, to raise money for a local non-profit. All members are encouraged to buy tickets and attend this once-a-year event. For more information, see the links below:
